Engineering Technical Writing transforms complex technical information into clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation tailored for diverse audiences. Our team ensures your technical content—whether manuals, procedures, or reports—is precise, compliant, and accessible, supporting effective communication and project success.
In the course of developing a product a plethora of important technical information is generated, some of which is important to the end user. A good technical writer can sift through this information, ascertain what is important, distil and effectively convey it to the required audience. Usually, this job falls to the design engineer however they rarely do this efficiently and do not enjoy it.
In addition, engineers are expensive, busy and better utilised in the core business of creating products. Focus Technical works to understand the product, users and business to design the information transfer accordingly. Our technical writers are trained engineers, so talk at the same level as your engineers to understand and convey the information in an appropriate way.

PC28 Pick and Carry Crane Manuals
TRT are the only manufacturer of a road legal vehicle in New Zealand, their PC28 Pick and Carry Crane which they sell in New Zealand and export overseas.
TRT has invested heavily in the development of this product and approached Focus Technical to assist in the creation of their user and service manuals and checklists using Adobe InDesign.
SPCA Mobile Clinic Operations Manual
Wade Group design and build custom vehicle fitouts for organisations such as New Zealand Police and St Johns Ambulance, as well as one-off vehicles such as a purpose-built SPCA mobile desexing clinic.
Wade Group were committed to delivering a high quality vehicle for the SPCA and approached Focus Technical to create an operations manual.
Oceanlift Marine Davit IOM Manual
Longveld are skilled manufacturers of machinery and equipment in stainless, aluminium and mild steel.
After acquiring Oceanlift, they worked with Focus Technical to produce an IOM manual with a polished look to match the quality of the LD series marine davits
